Secret Station takes place on Saturday 3 October, between 6PM and 11PM. The event includes free live music and DJs at Queenstown Station, and ticketed performance at Lynchford Station. To experience the Lynchford program, you will need a ticket. For ticket holders, your ticket confirmation and the ticketing page will include arrival information and any important details for your journey. Please also be mindful of weather updates and check your inbox in the lead up to the event.
The train will leave from Queenstown Station on time - please do not be late. We recommend arriving early to Queenstown Station at around 6PM, in plenty of time to check in by 6:30PM and take some time at Tracks Café in preparation for the journey ahead.
Secret Station takes place in Queenstown, on Lutruwita/Tasmania’s West Coast. Queenstown is approximately a four-hour drive from both Launceston and Nipaluna/Hobart. Plan your drive, take your time, and stop at least once on the journey - there are plenty of spectacular locations to experience on your way to the West Coast. Secret Station is an 18+ event and is not suitable for children. Queenstown Station will remain free and accessible to all ages throughout the event.

Train and bus tickets offer two different ways to experience Secret Station. Both include access to the artworks and performances and arrive at the same destination, but the journey itself differs. Train ticket holders travel aboard the historic railway, while bus ticket holders follow an alternative route on the road.
The bus experience is physically accessible, while the historic train is not wheelchair accessible. More information about Secret Station accessibility is on our Access page. Ticket prices vary depending on whether you choose the train or bus experience. Please visit the Tickets page for the latest ticket prices and availability.
All ticket holders should arrive at Queenstown Station in time to check in between 6PM and 6:30PM. At check-in you will receive your ticket, telling you which carriage to board and your allocated seat number. Both the train and bus will depart from Queenstown Station on time. If you arrive at Queenstown Station after 7PM you will miss your departure time and we can not guarantee access to the event. There will be no refunds for latecomers. Please be sure to arrive in plenty of time for check-in and boarding.
You are welcome to enjoy the free public program at Queenstown Station at your own pace if you don’t want to commit to the full program.
No pass outs will be available from Lynchford for ticket holders.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground. West Coast weather can change quickly, so warm layers and wet weather gear, including a waterproof jacket or poncho, are encouraged.
Yes. Food, drinks and toilet facilities will be available at Queenstown and Lynchford Stations. Additional event information will be provided to ticket holders closer to the date.
Both Queenstown and Lynchford Stations are licensed premises, and alcohol will be available for purchase at both locations. Please do not bring your own alcohol onto either site.

Passengers with severe tree nut allergies are advised to let staff know and carry an EpiPen in case of emergency.
Lynchford and Queenstown Station are wheelchair accessible, and accessible transportation will be available to ticket holders with prior notice.

Secret Station will go ahead in most weather conditions. West Coast weather can change quickly, so we encourage you to dress for the conditions and wear suitable wet weather clothing. We recommend bringing a waterproof jacket or poncho, sturdy footwear and warm layers to ensure you're comfortable throughout the experience.
In the event of any severe weather warnings with impact for Secret Station, ticket holders will be contacted directly.

Public transport between Launceston, the North West and Queenstown is by daily connecting services operated by Kinetic. The service between Burnie and Queenstown is run by Tassielink. There is no direct regular public transport service.

Secret Station features a unique program of sound, music, installation and interactive exploration across both locations, including musicians, storytellers, scientists, artists, and more.
We ask all visitors to be considerate of others and not attend if they are feeling unwell. Any public health requirements in place at the time of the event will be communicated to ticket holders.
